Things have been rough here at the Diffee house for the past few days! Amelia has a cold, so she is coughing, sneezing, etc. This makes for really LONG nights. She will cough, then gag, then wake herself up crying. Poor thing, and poor me too! Last night was the worst, I barely got any sleep at all. On top of that, she had to go get her shots today so she is not in a good mood at all!
Our baby is growing so big---she is 28 inches long and 19 lbs 2 oz. She has gained 12 lbs since she was born!! In just a couple weeks she will be 7 months old and I just can't believe it. She is learning new "tricks" all the time and can sit up for long periods---this makes it a lot easier during play time! Grandma Lisa bought her a Belle doll (from Beauty and The Beast)---and Amelia loves it! She pets her hair and face constantly.
In other news...I got a sewing machine!! I can't wait to sit down and start using it. I have all these projects in mind. Ive also started a quilt out of Amelia's outgrown baby clothes. It will take me ages to finish but I want to give it to her one day. I also want to make a pillow for her room, I already bought the fabric for it. Ive got the patterns to make her a dress as well...Im scared to start it though, afraid I might mess up!!! She is the perfect model for the headbands I make though--she just hams it up every time I pull the camera out.

she is darling! I am sorry to hear she isn't feeling well, there is nothing like a sick baby :( I hope she feels better soon! You will do a fine job with sewing :) the wonderful thing is that if you mess up you can use a seam ripper and start all over again and again until you get it! have fun!
