You all know that this blog is normally Rowan this, Rowan that. BUT...every once in awhile something happens in my life that actually has nothing to do with my awesome amazing daughter. Last Sunday my brother Thad, my friend Ben (like a brother!) and myself all went to see Fran and Andy from my very favorite band Travis. <3 Fran is the singer, Andy is the guitar player. It was the 5th time Ive been to a Travis show.
Words cannot describe Travis for me...they have been a part of my life for so many years now that I have all my favorite memories intertwined with their songs. Nathan and I used to listen to The Invisible Band (their 3rd cd) when we first started dating. My brother Thad, my SIL Julie and my friend Jon and I all saw them in Atlanta YEARS ago, Julie passed out in the crowd and my brother and Jon had to carry her out. I have all these memories tied to them, so it was amazing to see them in a very intimate setting. There were maybe 60-75 people there, the they played music and told stories for well over 2 hours. Im so grateful that Nathan stayed home with Rowan so I was able to go and enjoy myself, and not be "Mama" for the night.
Not only did they play ALL my favorite songs, but afterwards we were able to meet them and it was seriously like a dream!! My hands were shaking, Thad and Ben were cracking up at how nervous I was. Anyone who knows anything about this band knows they are known for being the nicest guys in rock. They seem to really love their fans and their kindness showed that night. They showed a genuine interest in all of us and it really made my day (month! year!) Of course my mom says that Andy looks like a janitor but I don't care, he is an awesome musician and super nice guy!!

SO glad you got to get out and have some FUN! i think it's important not to lose all of your old self when the babies come!
Was this in the standing-only room? it looks like it wasn't decorated the same?
