27 weeks!

WARNING! Im not wearing any make-up in todays tummy picture. Viewers Discrection Advised. So, Im 27 weeks today, and that is pretty unbelievable to me. A lot of the pregnancy literature says that Im officially in my 3rd trimester. Some things say that starts at 28 weeks, but Im going to go with 27, because if you divide 40 weeks (full term pregnancy) into 3, it is something 13.3 weeks, which would mean the 3rd section starts at 26.3, so yeah. 27 weeks.
There is a definate feeling of ACK!!!! going on with me right now. Knowing I only have 3 months left is pretty scary, exciting, nerve-wracking...all at the same time. I feel the need to educate myself as much as I can on baby safety, breast feeding, etc. I feel like there is still soooo much time...but not very much time left at all. And our house has taken on a life of its own. There is a crib mattress in our living room (Crib itself won't be here until later this week..), a high chair in the kitchen, clothes in the closet, and in the guest room there is what I call "The baby stuff corner"..where there are toys and all sorts of other goodies. Including the adorable rainforest baby bouncer Nathans parents gave us this week. Im a sucker for anything with cute animals on it.
One good thing about this week is my feet have not been swollen at ALL! For a few days I felt soooo happy, thinking I have conquered this terrible pregnancy side effect. That feeling was short lived though....because a new side effect has come to town, and it is far far worse than any swollen feet I have dealt with. BACK PAIN! ARGHHHHH! It is the WORST thing I have dealt with in this pregnancy so far. I seriously feel like a 95 year old woman when I walk around. Im constantly holding my back, groaning when I sit down, stand up..and forget trying to get out of bed. I literally just roll myself off the bed my back hurts so bad. Luckily I have a great hubby who offers free back rubs.
In other news....we are not 100% sure...but we might have a name picked out. Nathans family came last week (you can see the kids crawling on Uncle Nathan in the picture below..) and we discussed names for awhile. It made me realize that we really need to get on the naming process. Up until this point we had 3 or so names we "liked", but didn't LOVE. So, we pulled out the name book, and the first name Nathan mentioned just clicked with us both. We kind of looked at each other and it was a conversation something like this..."I like that.." "Me too.." "Why didn't you ever mention it before?" "I thought you wouldn't like it.." "But I do!" "Me too!" So....we might have IT. Im pretty excited, and Ive already gotten sort of attached to the name.
Anyway, that is my latest Baby Diffee Update. Nathan and I are going to go to the movies today, which should be fun, we have not been to the movies together since January. We want to see The Happening, so hopefully I won't have to pee 100 times, and hopefully it won't be too scary.
