Amelia will be 9 weeks old tomorrow! She is such a smiley happy girl! She has become even more alert. She responds to noises and movement a lot better than she used to. She is still fighting to hold her head up for long periods of time and seems to be really proud of herself when she does well.

I went back to work a few days ago. It was the worst thing Ive ever done!! I knew it would be hard, but there is nothing like walking out of the house and leaving your baby behind. I know I have to work for financial reasons, but I wish I didn't have to, at least not so soon. I cried when I left home..but once I got to work I was okay. I had lots of pictures to show everyone, and was able to talk about Amelia non-stop for awhile. Then I had to pump at work--I got emotional again b/c I didn't think it was fair, if I had been at home I could have just been feeding her myself. From that point on I was just really anxious to get back home. When I finally got home I discovered that her and Nathan had a rough go of it---she didn't want to take her bottle at all so she was pretty hungry and upset...Nathan was stressed b/c she had been crying a lot. Luckily the next night went a bit better, she took her bottle a bit better and Nathan wasn't as stressed that night. Im hoping it will get easier on both of them each day. Like I told Nathan---she has been with me all day every day for the past 2 months, it will take her some time to get used to me not being there.

Also----she has been sleeping better the past 2 nights. I watched my Happiest Baby On The Block DVD and it helped SO MUCH. The first night after I watched it, I used the techniques it described and she slept for 5 hours in a row--woke once to nurse and have her diaper changed, then slept another 3 hours. Last night she slept for 7 hours, woke once to nurse and have a diaper changed then slept another 3 hours! Its the most sleep Ive had in TWO MONTHS! I hope its not a fluke and we are actually changing her sleeping patterns. I know every night won't go perfectly, but I can deal with this! Im used to her waking 4-5 times a night to nurse....once a night is HUGE!

Anyway, thats all. Im posting this today b/c I doubt Ill have time tomorrow. Hope you all enjoy the photos of my sweet girl.

I'm sorry you have to work. Don't worry though, your little girl knows that you love her :) Her smile is soo precious!
love her sweet smile!
she is such a pretty smiley little girl!! Im sorry it has been a rough transition for the three of you with you going back to work, it will get better with each day that passes. I can't believe she will be 9 weeks, I swear the weeks have gone by way to fast!! Im sure you feel the same way.
What a total cutie!
She sure has a ton of hair compared to Mariana, I am a little jealous.
Love the smiley pictures.
What a happy baby! I know that working is very hard, especially that first day. I cried too and it was very hard for the first month or so but you get used to it. Good luck to you and Nathan! I'm so glad that the vide worked well for you. I knew that it would and can't believe I didn't suggest it before she was born. Sorry about that. I guess it slipped my mind.
