My baby looks like an alien!!

But what a cute alien it is!!!

In the first photo you can see "Baby Diffee" looking right at you. The ultrasound tech kept saying "Looks like a skeleton doesn't it??" I was like "You dummy....it's obviously an alien!" I got to see both feet, hands, spine, even the brain!!

In the second picture you can really see how much the baby has grown. I was seriously overcome by emotion for this little tiny thing....it kept hunkering into a ball, then bouncing up on it's feet. The tech could barely read the heartbeat the baby was jumping around so much.

In the 3rd picture you can see where the legs meet----hope you are not shy, baby--because all the world can see. It is super early still, but the tech and my doc both have a bet going that the baby will be a girl. My OBGYN said that normally at this stage of the game you can see a small nub where a boy "package" will be. Im not getting TOO stuck on the idea of a girl, because it is still so early, and I don't want to be dissapointed later if it turns out to be a boy. Id love a boy too, so I don't want to start thinking of the baby as a girl quite yet.

Everything is measuring great though, it was such an awesome experience today. The baby has a heartrate of 159, which is good and healthy. Not just that, but its measuring at 12 weeks and 2 days, 3 days ahead of how far along I actually am, so Baby Diffee is growing big and strong at a great rate!
