Amelia is 5 weeks old today!! It has been a LONG 5 weeks. Actually, this past week itself has been long. Amelia has suddenly decided she has no time for naps, or nighttime sleeping at all. She prefers to be awake, being held, looking around, etc. She doesn't like her swing, her bouncy seat only entertains her for about 30 minutes. She doesn't cry or anything, she just won't go to sleep. This weekend Ive dedicated myself to getting her to sleep and it sometimes takes HOURS to get her down for a 45 minute nap. Im going to stick with it though because the girl has gotta sleep!!Nursing has gotten a LOT better lately. Im so relieved of that. She eats like a pro and is turning into a little chunk. I bet she weighs 10 lbs now! She has outgrown her 5-8lb newborn outfits. My little girl is growing so quick! She is becoming so alert too, staring at faces and listening to noises. She likes the sound of piano music. Its really amazing watching her learn and grow!!

ok, here's my sleeping advice-it's not pretty: sometimes if you let them cry, they will learn to get themselves to sleep, which is good if YOU like to sleep. but, i know there are lots of thoughts out there on that AND i don't know your philosophy, so you may be totally against it. if so, then throw my advise out the window! you'll find you way :)
she is darling!! It is crazy that she is already 5 weeks old, it feels like yesterday you were big and pregnant and ready to go into labor!! Im glad things are going well. I hope sleeping gets easier.
She has some cute nursing cheeks!!! That is a good thing!! She is so cute and at that stage where I love babies!!! Glad that nursing has gotten better for you too!!
