Amelia has reached a landmark this week! She has started smiling regularly and she is holding her head up pretty well! She can hold it up for a few minutes then she gets tired of it and lays it back down.
Im sad to say her hair is starting to lighten up as well. Her roots look totally blonde now. Im not upset that she is going blonde, Im just so used to her hair being dark that its going to be strange for her to look different. She is already changing so much its hard to keep up!!
We had a check up yesterday and she is 22 inches long and 11lbs 7 oz. She is getting so big. They said she is a little heavier than the "average" babies her age but they said that is normal for breastfed babies. I don't mind her being a little chubby now though, that just means she is getting enough milk, and seeing as it was nearly impossible to get her to nurse at first, Im not complaining!!
Her new favorite thing to do is suck and eat her hands. They are constantly in her mouth now, whether she is hungry or not. Her hands and clothes stay covered in slobber...I bet it will be awful whenever she starts teething b/c she already drools so much!!
Anyway, things are going well. I go back to work next Thursday which breaks my heart, but Im grateful to have had 8 weeks with my sweet pea! Im trying to just enjoy the next week or so as much as I can!

She is such a little cutie pie, I can't beleive how fast time is flying and how big she is getting! It just seems crazy for her to be 7 weeks already!!! She is darling!
